Job Title: System Programmer II
Location: 201 Triple Diamond Blvd, No. Venice, FL
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Position Summary: The Information Technology Group is currently seeking a highly skilled in-house software programmer with the drive and experience to help us build on our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, web site, database and various other information applications. This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated person with solid technical skills/experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Job Duties:
• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology
• Maintain and modify programs, develop detailed programming logic, and code changes
• Test and develop programming modifications
• Write new program code using prescribed specifications
• Evaluate interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change would cause unwanted results
• Analyze performance of systems and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor
• Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls
• Write and maintain programming documentation
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference
• Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
•Job Requirements:
• Experience with C++, C#. Visual Basic and ASP
• Extensive experience with .NET
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Database
• Strong understanding of Windows 32 API
• Ability to build, integrate, test and configure reusable component
• Ability to apply proven software methodologies and principles
• Must be able to think laterally and systematically in order to resolve complex technical problems
• Work with minimal supervision
• Ability to document source code and design class diagrams
• Interact effectively with other team members
• Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn new skills
• Must take ownership and responsibility for project design and implementation
• Must be flexible and receptive to changes, as the job description and nature of the business may change
• Experience with client/server applications
• Excellent written and in-person communication skills
• Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or comparable field of study
• Ability to work in-house, full-time
