Classic Insulated Lifetime Guarantee

Tervis will replace products from our classic double-walled plastic line of drinkware that we confirm to have defects in material or workmanship. Items damaged due to improper care, abuse or normal wear and tear (e.g., fading, scratching, staining) will not be replaced. The Tervis Lifetime Guarantee does not apply to accessories (including lids), non-tumbler limited edition products, or to the functionality of software-based products, such as the Tervis Augmented Reality mobile application.

Classic drinkware that we deem to be defective in workmanship will be replaced on a ‘like for like’ basis only, meaning a sports team tumbler will be exchanged for a tumbler of the same size and design.

*Discontinued products will be replaced with the next closest product size.

What's Covered

These issues are covered under the Classic Insulated Lifetime Guarantee.

Seal Failure

The inner wall detaches from outer wall or if there is moisture between the two walls.

Cracked

Cracking around opening or on the bottom of drinkware.

Decoration Failure

Decoration has become detached.

Heat Distortion

Drinkware walls are raised and distorted.

Exterior Sunscreen/Film/Fog

Sunscreen or other elements have caused a discoloration, film or fog on the outside of the drinkware and cannot be removed.

What's Not Covered

Wear and Tear

Classic insulated drinkware damaged due to improper care, abuse or normal wear and tear (e.g. fading, scratching, staining) will not be replaced.

Non-Tumbler Limited Edition Products

e.g., Bowls

Commercial Use

Commercially used Classic insulated drinkware will not be replaced.

Intent to Resell, Warranty Abuse/Excessive Returns

Classic insulated drinkware determined to be purchased on the secondary market will not be replaced. Tervis reserves the right to limit or refuse replacement based on customer return history.

Intentional Damage

Classic insulated drinkware determined to have been intentionally damaged will not be replaced.

Other Considerations

Tervis reserves the right to limit and/or refuse the replacement of Classic insulated drinkware based on but not limited to the above conditions.

Classic insulated drinkware replacement is at the sole discretion of Tervis; Tumbler must be physically inspected by Tervis prior to replacement.

Popular Questions

“Lifetime” specifically refers to the time at which, through normal use, the product can no longer function in its intended purpose, not the lifetime of the person using the product.

Normal wear and tear refers to conditions which the product is exposed to during its intended use. Expect “normal wear and tear” when you are taking tumblers with you to the beach or on the boat or camping or after normal everyday use at home. “Normal wear and tear” assumes that you’re washing your drinkware after use.

Our guarantee covers failure of materials or workmanship. So, if anything accidentally slipped by our quality inspection, we’ll make it right.

Excessive wear and tear, abuse, misuse, or neglect is not covered by our warranty.

Tervis physically examines Classic drinkware returned for replacement to verify that there was a failure in materials or workmanship.

Let’s say you find a Tervis product at a yard sale. Since you weren’t the person who originally purchased it, you bought it on the secondary market. Our guarantee is for products we sell to you.

Not really, but there are some other considerations: We reserve the right to limit and/or refuse the replacement of Classic insulated drinkware based on but not limited to the above conditions. Product replacement is at the sole discretion of Tervis. Classic insulated drinkware must be physically inspected by Tervis prior to replacement.
